Processes for Collecting Apportionment for Tutoring at SBCC

The Tutorial Center has dedicated Faculty Tutor Supervisors who provide the following:

• Line-of-sight tutor supervision for tutors tutoring in the Tutoring Commons
• Tutor mentorship
• Tutor connection support for students

Below is our Tutoring Commons information for the Spring 2025 semester. Tutoring Commons hours for the Summer 2025 term will be Monday - Thursday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m in the Learning Resources Center.

Monday	Learning Resources Center (LRC): 9:15 a.m. - 5 p.m. Luria Library: 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Tuesday	LRC: 9:15 a.m. - 5 p.m. Library: 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Wednesday	LRC: 9:15 a.m. - 5 p.m. Library: 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Thursday	LRC: 9:15 a.m. - 5 p.m. Library: 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Friday	LRC: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

In-person tutoring outside of these hours or in alternate locations on campus must be approved by the Dean over the area and the Tutorial Center and documented according to the processes outlined in Processes for Collecting Apportionment for Tutoring at SBCC. No SBCC tutoring should occur off campus.

Online tutors may tutor outside of the Tutoring Commons hours only if the hiring faculty agree to provide line-of-sight supervision for the tutoring session. The agreement must be documented according to the processes outlined in Processes for Collecting Apportionment for Tutoring at SBCC.
